If it's your first time in our office, we will make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Sometimes patients find it helpful to bring their past medical records with them. We appreciate their thoughtfulness. If you don't happen to have your records, don't worry. We will request them on your behalf with your permission.

Perhaps you are visiting us because you have a cough that hasn't resolved, run out of your medications, or need a general physical exam. Whatever you need, we will do our best to provide you the best medical care possible.  

If you are visiting our office because your physician requested Dr. Cuenca's assistance on a sports medicine-related issue, Dr. Cuenca will discuss with you all of your options to ensure you can return to your activity safely. 

You may be visiting Dr. Cuenca for an OMT consultation for your neck or back pain.  During your first visit, Dr. Cuenca will do the following:

• discuss your musculoskeletal problem
• review with you your history and any studies you have and answer any questions you may have
• perform both a musculoskeletal and an osteopathic structural examination
• review the medications you have tried and other therapy modalities

If after your first visit both you and Dr. Cuenca feel that OMT may be of benefit then our office will schedule the next visit to have you begin treatment.

If you are running late, just give our office a call and let us know. We will make every effort to accomodate. Although we do hope you understand if others are on time and we try to see them first prior to seeing you. If it is more convenient rescheduling may be appropriate. 

Remember, you are not a number, not a disease, not another case study. It is our primary goal to make every effort and listen to you, the individual.
